The Vail Valley Art Guild, with its Mission in mind, provides gallery space, mentorship and support to Eagle County Schools art students for end-of-year exhibitions, solo exhibitions and the ability to experience art in an affordable (free) and accessible fashion. Children in our valley do not have easily accessible exposure to arts and culture and this program provides school aged children a professional venue to display their work and learn from experiences mentors on how to think creatively and express themselves through visual art.
In 2019 we offered the first year of a summer clay camp at CMC for kids on summer break. These classes will be provided at an extremely affordable rate to children of CMC employees/faculty/students and children of Guild members. We would like to be able to provide this to a greater number in the future. This provides affordable, convenient and educational experiences for many children that may not usually have access to the arts.”
